in realtà nella prima frase, che ad orecchio è quella che può suonar meglio, non vengono rispettate le regole del periodo ipotetico italiano.
Ho ricontrollato ma non è previsto l'accoppiamento di quei 2 tempi verbali... 🤔🤔

È la prima, anche se in realtà non è perfetta. Sarebbe stato meglio:
Se fosse stato un uomo onesto, non si sarebbe comportato così (passato)
Se fosse un uomo onesto, non si comporterebbe così (presente)

@Ambra-IT è vero, però ho pensato ai periodi ipotetici misti inglesi e ho scoperto che possono essere formati anche in italiano!

trovo un po' assurdo che la inseriscano in un libro di grammatica italiana, se poi non rispetta i dettami...
@giovannalagala ho pensato subito anch'io all'ipotetico misto, ma non è scritta da nessuna parte l'accoppiata di quei tempi verbali 🤔🤔 sarei curiosa di leggere la parte teorica di quel libro guarda!!

@Ambra-IT hai perfettamente ragione, ma bisogna pur considerare che molto probabilmente il libro è per l'apprendimento dell'italiano da parte di stranieri. Io studio lingue e per la mia terza lingua di apprendimento uso tre eserciziari diversi perché la mia insegnante madrelingua trova continuamente errori e inesattezze nelle spiegazioni grammaticali e negli esercizi (uno dei quali, ahimè, è scritto da un'autrice madrelingua)
